Products We Love

Breastfeeding products, baby care, and postpartum recovery essentials chosen to make life with a new baby a little easier.

Three babies. Three very different breastfeeding journeys. These are products I’ve used, trusted, researched, or would confidently recommend to a friend.

I know this is hard. You can do hard things.

We only recommend products we believe may be genuinely useful to mothers and families. Affiliate income helps support our free breastfeeding resources, printables, and educational guides.

Some of these products were part of my own breastfeeding and postpartum experience, while others are recommendations I chose because they fit the needs of mothers and babies I want this page to serve.

You don’t need everything on this page – and I’d never want you to feel like you do. But somewhere in here is exactly what you need for your journey. Browse by section, skip what doesn’t apply, and know that every recommendation here came from a real mom who’s been in the thick of it.

You’ll find breastfeeding essentials, pumping and bottle feeding gear, postpartum comforts, baby care products, and a few things I wish someone had told me about sooner.

Packing your hospital bag?

Many of the products on this page are also perfect for the hospital. We put together a complete hospital bag guide so you know exactly what to bring, what the hospital provides, and what you can skip.

The Breastfeeding Basics

These are the core items that directly support nursing — the things worth having in place before baby arrives.

My Brest Friend
Original Nursing Pillow
Best for early latch support, positioning, and longer feeds.
Natalie’s Note: I used another popular brand with my first. I received this one as a gift with my second, and what a difference! I tried to use the other brand one day while the cover was being washed, and got pretty frustrated with baby falling between myself and the pillow. Get a second cover — trust me.

My Brest Friend
Extra Organic Nursing Pillow Cover
Best for keeping one clean while one is in the wash.
Natalie’s Note: Learn from my mistake and buy a second cover. Between spit-up, diaper blowouts, and the occasional milk leak, these covers end up in the wash more often than you expect. I tried using a different nursing pillow while mine was being washed and quickly remembered why I preferred the My Brest Friend. Having a backup cover meant I could keep using the pillow I loved without interruption.

CAKYE
Seamless Nursing Bra
Best for sleep, lounging, early breastfeeding, and everyday comfort.
Natalie’s Note: I’ve used these since my first baby and haven’t found anything better. I sleep in these every night — even when I’m not breastfeeding. They’re still my go-to for lounging around the house.

KeaBabies
Organic Burp Cloths
Best for spit-up, leaking milk, bottle feeds, and everyday mess.
Natalie’s Note: I have piles of these in every room. You never know when you’ll need one — even the toddler gets the occasional booger wipe. 100% organic cotton, soft, and they wash up really well.

Konssy
Muslin Baby Blanket
Best for skin-to-skin, light cover, and newborn snuggles.
Natalie’s Note: 100% cotton and so soft. I always tried to do skin-to-skin for feeds in the first few months and this helped keep baby warm without overheating. Quality is great — we still use ours. Note: it’s not heavy enough for outside in fall or winter.

Motherlove
Lanolin-Free Nipple Cream
Best for sore, cracked, or sensitive nipples at any stage.
Natalie’s Note: I used this with my second when the pain from tongue-tie became unbearable, and again when I became pregnant with my third and was still breastfeeding. Nipples are extra sensitive during pregnancy — this was a lifesaver both times.

For Pumping, Letdown & Milk Collection

Whether you’re exclusively pumping, building a freezer stash, or just managing letdown — these are the tools that make it easier.

Medela
Harmony Manual Breast Pump
Best for occasional pumping, travel, engorgement relief, and full control over pressure.
Natalie’s Note: I used this exclusively with my second. I had so much trouble with the electric pump that I gave up and shoved it in a drawer until it got donated. What I love about the Harmony is that you control the pressure with every single pump — no settings to fiddle with, no cords, no noise. Just you, when you need it.

Haakaa
Petal Collection Cup
Best for catching letdown on the opposite side during feeds.
Natalie’s Note: Much nicer on the breast than the suction devices. I leaked a lot in the first weeks and collecting every drop became important when I wasn’t making enough with my third. This made it easy without any extra effort.

KeaBabies
Organic Reusable Nursing Pads
Best for keeping clothing dry between feeds and pumping sessions.
Natalie’s Note: I used a version of these with every baby, and this brand specifically with my third. They’re the best — soft, washable, and they actually stay in place.

Motif Medical
Breast Milk Storage Bags
Best for freezer stash building, accurate measurements, and easy pouring.
Natalie’s Note: These were my favorite of all the brands I tried — and I tried quite a few between free samples and baby boxes. They were pretty accurate with ounce measurements, which is a known drawback of many bags. I also loved that the pour spout is at the top instead of the bottom, so I could set the bag back down if I didn’t drain the milk right away.

Earth Mama
Organic Milkmaid Tea
Best for supporting milk supply naturally.
Natalie’s Note: I went through boxes and boxes of this with my third when I struggled with supply after not realizing she wasn’t actually drinking at the breast. This helped me get back on track — and we’re still breastfeeding at 11 months old.

Bottles & Feeding Gear

Whether you’re combo feeding, bottle feeding pumped milk, or just want baby to take an occasional bottle — these are the ones worth having.

Philips Avent
Natural Glass Baby Bottles (Newborn)
Best for newborns, microplastic concerns, and the first 4-5 months.
Natalie’s Note: With my third I got really worried about microplastics and decided to use glass bottles to start. These were great and checked all the boxes. I got the smaller size for weight — glass is heavy — and we used them for the first 4 or 5 months.

Dr. Brown’s
Options+ Anti-Colic Baby Bottles
Best for anti-colic feeding, versatility, and older babies.
Natalie’s Note: I have used these with all three babies in some way. They are the best, and the new Options+ are super versatile. With my first, if you forgot the insert and tube there was a huge milk mess to clean up — but these can now be used with or without the extra parts. Game changer.

Philips Avent
Advanced Electric Steam Sterilizer
Best for bottles, pump parts, pacifiers, and anything that goes in baby’s mouth.
Natalie’s Note: Sterilize for the first 6 months! I put everything in here — pacifiers, chew items, bottles — anything that could go in here, did. I used a different brand with each baby and this was my favorite.

Postpartum Recovery

Your body just did something incredible. These are the things that made recovery a little more comfortable — and a little less painful.

EA’S SECRET
100% Cotton Pajama Set
Best for postpartum recovery, night feeds, and easy nursing access.
Natalie’s Note: These were in my hospital bag and were the only thing I wore postpartum. Super comfy with easy access for baby to nurse. And shorts! 100% cotton was important to me in the days after birth. These checked all the boxes.

Evshine
Warm Knit House Slippers
Best for postpartum comfort, hospital stays, and cold floors at 3am.
Natalie’s Note: I brought these to the hospital and they were way better than those socks. I can’t sleep in socks, so these were great for getting up in the night. Still going strong 11 months later — good quality.

Rael
Postpartum Underwear
Best for the first days and weeks after birth.
Natalie’s Note: Organic cotton cover and still absorbs like you’d expect postpartum underwear to. I never had an accident in the days and weeks after birth, and I felt good knowing there were no harsh chemicals against my skin while I was recovering.
Shop on Amazon →
Rael
Extra-Long Overnight Pads
Best for heavier postpartum bleeding with clean ingredients.
Natalie’s Note: Same philosophy as the underwear — clean ingredients, reliable coverage. I reached for these once I was ready to move past the hospital supplies but bleeding was still heavier than a regular pad could handle.
Shop on Amazon →
Dermoplast
Pain Relieving Spray
Best for immediate postpartum pain relief and perineal healing.
Natalie’s Note: This was given to me in the hospital with all three babies and it works wonders. Really.
Shop on Amazon →
Dr. Talbot’s
Upside Down Peri Bottle
Best for postpartum cleansing and perineal care.
Natalie’s Note: The hospital gives you one of these but it’s the other style — more like a condiment bottle with a straight squirt top. These upside down versions with the bent tip are much easier to get in position and reach all the sore parts!

For Night Feeds & Contact Naps

The middle of the night is its own season of new motherhood. These are the things that made those hours more manageable — and sometimes even peaceful.

Baby Delight
Bedside Sleeper Bassinet
Best for safe bedside sleeping and easy nighttime nursing access.
Natalie’s Note: I love how adjustable this is. I just kept the zip down panel open all night, usually with an arm in with baby. Having baby right next to me made night feeds so much easier without fully getting out of bed.
Shop on Amazon →
Mr. Pen
Baby Diaper Caddy Organizer
Best for keeping nighttime essentials within arm’s reach.
Natalie’s Note: I used this next to the bed for nighttime essentials. I put my hand pump, nipple cream, burp cloths, snacks, and diapering essentials in it. The bedside bassinet I used doesn’t have a lot of storage, so this was a huge help.
Shop on Amazon →
Hooga
Red Light Book Light
Best for nighttime feeds and diaper changes without disrupting sleep.
Natalie’s Note: Blue light disrupts sleep — yours and baby’s — and nighttime feeds and diaper changes are non-negotiable. This clips right onto your bedside cart and gives you just enough light to see without waking everyone up fully. I bought mine three years ago with my second and it’s still going strong. I still use it now.

Amazon
Kindle Paperwhite Signature Edition
Best for staying sane during long night feeds without the blue light spiral.
Natalie’s Note: I am an avid reader and I love my Paperwhite. The battery lasts for weeks, it’s lightweight, and it’s so much better than endless phone scrolling during a 2am feed. Reading helped me wind back down and actually get back to sleep.

REDUCE
40oz Insulated Tumbler
Best for staying hydrated through night feeds and long nursing sessions.
Natalie’s Note: Staying hydrated while breastfeeding is huge — you feel thirst at a whole different level. Keeping this tumbler on me was the easiest way to make sure I was actually drinking enough. It holds plenty, keeps water cold for hours, and the handle makes it easy to grab one-handed while you’re holding a baby.

Rise
Whey Protein Bars
Best for middle of the night hunger during breastfeeding.
Natalie’s Note: Breastfeeding makes you ravenous — especially at night. I kept these on my bedside table for night feeds because I needed something fast, filling, and actually good. These are the most delicious protein bars I’ve ever had. High protein, simple ingredients, and they don’t taste like chalk.

Babywearing

Keeping baby close supports breastfeeding, boosts milk supply, and makes life with a newborn so much more manageable — especially when you have other kids to take care of.

Momcozy
Baby Carrier
Best for newborns, skin-to-skin time, and the early months.
Natalie’s Note: I used this constantly during the early months. My babies loved contact naps, and with other kids to take care of, spending hours trapped on the couch wasn’t always realistic. A good carrier let me keep baby close, encourage skin-to-skin contact, soothe fussiness, and still function as a mom. It quickly became one of the most-used baby items in our house. Note: Once she got older I switched to the Ergobaby Omni — listed below.
Shop on Amazon →
Ergobaby
Omni Cool Air Mesh Baby Carrier
Best for older babies, longer carries, and all-day comfort.
Natalie’s Note: I’m actually wearing this carrier as I write this. My youngest is 11 months old, asleep against my chest, while I finish getting Boobs for Babies ready for launch. Throughout her first year, this carrier gave me a way to keep her close, encourage skin-to-skin contact, soothe fussiness, and still take care of the million other things life demands. With older kids in the house, this is a must-have. It is the most used item in our house.

Newborn Care & Diapering

Baby’s skin is brand new and incredibly delicate. These are the clean-ingredient products I feel good about using from day one.

ATTITUDE
Baby Wash & Shampoo
Best for sensitive newborn skin with clean, EWG Verified ingredients.
Natalie’s Note: EWG Verified has become really important to us. We use this on the baby and our toddler — it’s gentle enough for both and I feel good about what’s going on their skin.
Shop on Amazon →
ATTITUDE
Baby Lotion
Best for dry or sensitive skin with clean ingredients.
Natalie’s Note: I don’t use lotion on baby in the first few months. But I used this on myself while breastfeeding, and our toddler uses it now whenever she needs “wotion.” Clean ingredients, gentle formula, smells great.
Shop on Amazon →
Badger
Diaper Cream
Best for diaper rash prevention and treatment with clean ingredients.
Natalie’s Note: EWG Verified. Our old brand was struggling and this has made a big difference. Simple ingredients, works well, and I don’t have to worry about what’s going on baby’s skin.
Shop on Amazon →
Healthy Baby
Newborn Diapers
Best for the early newborn period when clean ingredients matter most.
Natalie’s Note: In the early newborn period I only used these. After a few months I switched to Huggies, but for brand new skin these are the ones I trust. No harsh chemicals, no dyes — just clean, simple diapers for the tiniest stage.

Touched by Nature
Newborn Nightgown
Best for easy diaper changes and keeping baby cozy between skin-to-skin sessions.
Natalie’s Note: I did a lot of skin-to-skin in the early weeks, but these were great for when grandma wanted a turn holding baby, or for times when baby needed a little more warmth. The gown style makes middle of the night diaper changes so much easier than snaps.
Shop on Amazon →
BabbleRoo
Diaper Bag Backpack
Best for organized, hands-free diapering on the go.
Natalie’s Note: The stroller basket is never big enough, so the diaper bag needs to live somewhere accessible — and this one clips right onto the stroller handles. It has an insulated, covered pocket for bottles and food which is a non-negotiable for me. It also comes in XL if you have multiple kids or need more space for longer trips.

Baby Sleep & Safe Spaces

Having a safe, comfortable place for baby to sleep and rest — in your room and beyond — makes those early months so much more manageable.

Baby Trend
Nursery Center & Playard
Best for a safe space in the living room, changing station, and beyond the newborn stage.
Natalie’s Note: We put this in the living room when baby was born as a safe space. It also doubled as our changing station. We still have it there — without the infant inserts — as a safe space away from older kids’ toys when I need to get something done.

Prenatal & Postnatal Nutrition

What you put in your body matters — before pregnancy, during, and all the way through breastfeeding. Don’t stop your vitamins just because baby is here.

New Chapter
Advanced Perfect Prenatal Multivitamin (35+)
Best for pregnancy, postpartum recovery, and breastfeeding support for mothers 35 and older.
Natalie’s Note: I was 38 with my second and 42 with my third! I trusted New Chapter throughout both pregnancies and continued taking them while breastfeeding. Formulated specifically for women over 35 — and worth every penny.

New Chapter
Perfect Prenatal Multivitamin
Best for pregnancy, postpartum recovery, and breastfeeding support for mothers under 35.
Natalie’s Note: I personally used New Chapter’s 35+ version, not this one. But I’ve had a great experience with the brand and trust their formulations completely. This is the version I would choose for mothers under 35 — same quality, right formula for your stage.
